Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan tied the knot on April 20, 2007. The couple walked the Cannes red carpet together in 2010 and that is when Abhishek gave a witty reply to the fan proposing to his wife. As the couple was posing for photographs, Abhishek spotted a man who was holding a banner that read, ‘Marry me’ intended for Aishwarya. While the actress smiled and waved, Abhishek pointed at her and announced, “She married me, man”.

ABHISHEK’S PERFECT PROPOSAL TO AISHWARYA
In 2007, Abhishek went to shoot for a film in New York. The actor would think about being married to Aishwarya while sitting on the balcony of his hotel room. So, he decided to propose to her on the same balcony.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Abhishek had revealed, “I was filming in New York for a movie, and I used to stand on my balcony of my hotel room and wish that one day wouldn’t it be nice if I was together with [Aishwarya], married? So I took her to the very same balcony, and I asked her to marry me.”
On November 16, 2011, Abhishek and Aishwarya welcomed their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
