If you’re among former Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio’s more than 10 million Instagram followers, you know that the she just celebrated her 40th birthday while looking better than ever. Yesterday, she offered further proof, as she stepped out in Los Angeles to join a Pilates class, and left wearing a white crop top that revealed her rippled six-pack abs, while carrying a handful of oranges. The image was taken just a couple of days after the model and mom celebrated a birthday getaway in Coachella, California.
Earlier this month, Ambrosio posted a video to Instagram in which she gave a sneak peek into her robust workout regimen.
The former Angel does all sorts of exercises in order to keep fit and tone her body, including lifting weights, performing hardcore interval moves such as mountain climbers, doing kettlebell squats, an—no surprise here—attacking her abs hard, which she gleefully references with “Crunch time” in the caption. For her part, Ambrosio’s credited yoga as an especially important part of her fitness routine. “I love to do yoga as it centers me and also at the same time keeps me in shape,” she told FOX News in an interview last year.
On days when she’s too busy to get in a full routine, she’ll simply make do with a few stretching exercises. “Since there is a lot to do around the house sometimes I don’t have much time to work out, in which case I try to do some stretching and hold a plank for five to 10 minutes,” she revealed to Fox News.
She’s also noted that she’s gotten by during a gym-less pandemic by partaking in some online workouts. “It’s OK to lack motivation during this time—we are all feeling it—but it is important to make some time for ourselves and working out is a great way to center yourself and stay fit,” she said.
