Jennifer Lawrence full name Jennifer Shrader Lawrence was born on August 15, 1990, the actress is an outspoken feminist and has spoken for planned parenthood publicly. She is said to have a down to earth and unaffected personality.

Childhood

Lawrence experienced social anxiety and hyperactivity in the earlier part of her childhood which she got rid of after she started performing on stage. She was fond of sports activities and horseback riding throughout her schooling because of which she, in fact, has an injured tailbone.

Her first ever performance was at the age of nine where she played a prostitute in a church play. She dropped out of her school at the age of 14 and enrolled herself with an agency to arrange for her auditions.

Acting Career

She debuted in the industry in 2006 through a small role in Company Town. She then continued with guest appearances before he got the role of a rebellion teenage daughter in The Bill Engvall Show in 2007 for which she also won a Young Artist Award for outstanding performance in 2009.

The first movie she played in was Garden Party in 2008. And after that, she was unstoppable and acted in loads of films and was also recognised and appreciated for her skills through awards. She started giving the highest grossers of the year down the years of her praise worthy performance.

She became a recognised and successful star after the success of Hunger Games in which her role was particular appreciated. She was the second youngest actress to have won the Golden Globe and Academy Awards for Best Actress at the age of 22. Causes she supports

Along with being a feminist, she is also a supporter of planned parenthood and anactive promoter of body positivity. Among other initiatives and expressing her opinion, she wrote for Lenny Letter criticising the gender-based pay gap in Hollywood.

She has been quiet vocal about her political opinions as well, criticising Donald Trump’s presidency calling it the end of the world. She became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2011.

She has been helping various charitable organisations including World Food Programme, Feeding America and the Thirst Project. She has also partnered with the UN to publicise poverty and hunger.

She collaborated with various organisations and for different projects in order to raise funds for the cause. She launched her own charitable organisation the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation to support the causes.
